In regards to my last post

Many of my posts hit home for a lot of people. I see them be reblogged happily, in agreement, with amazing additions, thoughts from other POC, but I also see them be reblogged simply to add angry commentary.

Usually, it is by people upset on being called out, on me calling others out, by people stating in rather dismissive tones that my sentiments & those of countless other POC/QPOC/WOC (all of which I am a part of & will discuss about) are not correct.

When I see comments that fall under these categories:

  • This community belongs to EVERYONE. It isn’t exclusive. People have every right to take what they want from it as long as they aren’t being mean.
  • Dismissive: You are mean/ You are a bitch / You are rude/ STFU
  • You hurt my feelings. This is worse than anything you are talking about.
  • Wikipedia articles/ Dictionary definitions to somehow be the end-all solidifying all discussion attached to your comment.

I will not respond to you because: I do not believe in the run around arguing that tends to happen on the internet, most of these arguments are founded in elitism, privilege & a general disregard for all of the points being made in my articles & posts, I have limited energy, I have to take care of myself and I do not feel it is my duty to educate those who see only their view point as correct.

Also, sending me scathing messages to my inbox simply gets you blocked or deleted.

Got it?
